The probably safest play dough in the world

All children love to bake with their mother and eat some of the dough. But that was not that unproblematic due to various reasons up to this point. First of all, dough causes a stomach ache, because it contains leaven and/or strong self-raising flour. Secondly, mother needs the dough herself in order to bake cookies or cakes. Furthermore, regular dough creates a messy kitchen due to its soft, sticky and fatty consistency when kids “work” with it. These are the reasons why dough was scarce for children and this is why it is so desired.
On the other hand it is a fact for decades, that children who are playing with regular play dough are putting it into their mouths as well. Play doughs are usually not directly toxic (and are not allowed to be according to the current law), but they often contain colouring agents and preservatives as well as other ingredients that are not declared on the package. Therefore, we think it is best and consequent to produce play dough like food since we know that kids put the play dough into their mouths anyway.
This is why we have developed Yummy Dough. Yummy Dough is produced in Germany with respect to much stricter guidelines of the food law compared to toy regulations. All ingredients are declared on the package and the product is constantly quality tested by an independent institute.
Yummy Dough contains no preservatives at all in the current mix. It is neither sticky nor fatty and the colorants are mostly from food colouring agents such as for instance red beet powder or curcuma. Only the blue colouring agent Brilliant Blue FCF (E133) is not a natural colorant, but it is classified as safe. This is why we consider Yummy Dough the safest play dough in the world.
In contrast to regular play dough, where children often play alone, Yummy Dough entertains the entire family, parents and grandparents, friends and relatives. Everybody can knead and bake together with the children.
You can find kneading and baking patterns for every occasion of the year on our tutorial website if you are fan of Yummy Dough. We know from hundreds of feedbacks that kids and adults enjoy spending their afternoon playing with Yummy Dough. It is particularly great for parents and grandparents to be able to offer something where children are training their sensor and motor skills and keep the TV and computer off. This is how Yummy Dough connects generations.
